Web Ring Policy/Privacy Statement

The Policy Statement covers the Freeport/Stephenson County Web Ring treatment of any personal information that the Web Ring's business partners share with the webmaster.

This policy does not apply to the practices of companies that the Web Ring does not own or control, or to the people that the Web Ring does not employ or manage.

The Freeport/Stephenson County Web Ring:

• Collects information when you register for a Web Ring account. Once you are registered with us, you are not anonymous to us.
• Automatically receives and records information on our server logs.
• Uses information for two general purposes: to customize the advertising and content you see, and to provide traffic statistics to our Webmaster. None of the statistics reported include personal information about any Web Ring user.
• Will not sell or rent your personal information to anyone.
• May amend this policy from time to time. If we make any substantial changes in the way we use your personal information we will notify you by posting a prominent announcement on our pages.
